In Bosnia and Herzegovina the implementation of the FP7 project "Development of Mobility Centers’ Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAMONET)" has begun, which will, over the next three years, develop the network of Centers for researchers mobility at public universities. During his welcome speech, Prof. Dr. Hazim Bašić, Vice-Rector for Research, the University of Sarajevo, said that the role of these Centers was to offer the high-grade and consistent services, and as well as the personalized help to mobile researchers, especially to researchers from Europe and the world, who wanted to begin or continue their academic careers in B&H.
Participants in this project are the Ministry of Civil Affairs (project coordinator), University of Banja Luka ("bridgehead", partner) and the University of Sarajevo (partner).
On behalf of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ms. Biljana Čamur, Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs in the Department of Science and Culture, greeted the workshop participants, and pointed out: "Through this project the institutions engaged in scientific research activities receive a high-grade relation with more than 200 Centers for the same purpose in all European countries, and the umbrella organization - the B&H EURAXESS Center - has become a full member of the EU EURAXESS initiative which has been so far supported by the 37 countries. "
Mr. Mario Milanović, consultant in the B&H EURAXESS Center was talking about the EURAXESS initiative, and announced its 4 main segments which support the mobility of researchers in Europe: the EURAXESS Jobs EURAXESS Services, EURAXESS Rights and EURAXESS Links.
Ms. Marina Radun, Manager, the EURAXESS Center, presented the BAMONET BiH project and its objectives, and talked about the project’s work packages, which comprises of the activities that have been implemented so far.
Within the workshop, Mr. Stamenko Mijatović, portal administrator, EURAXESS Center BiH, presented the EURAXESS web portal (www.euraxess.ba) whose purpose is to provide on-line services and information to the wider academic community and researchers. The portal was created in order to achieve visibility of basic information and services provided by the EURAXESS network in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Ammar Miraščija, Head of the Department of Science at the Ministry of Civil Affairs, spoke about the activities realized within the FP7 People Programme and presented the content of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code for the Recruitment of Researchers.
