Exhibition

 

 

Exhibition by Academy of Fine Arts Students Oficialy Opened

Within the celebration of  "University December Days” event and of the 62 Anniversary of the University in Sarajevo, on Monday 12 December, in the premises of the University of Sarajevo’s Rectorate, the exhibition by the Academy of Fine Arts’ students  was opened.

Prof. Dr. Slavenka Vobornik, Vice-Rector for teaching at the University of Sarajevo opened the exhibition, pointing out that the celebration of the University, eventually had grown into a series of ceremonies, and said: "There is nothing more beautiful or better than to start the University December Days with artistic performances. Therefore, even this year, we start the celebration with art, with the presenting of our Art Academies, especially with the presenting of the Academy of Fine Arts, which is in a sixth-year-in-row giving to the University for its birthday the exhibition by its students. "

Vice-Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts, MA. Srđa Hrisafović also greeted the attendees, who in his address expressed his gratitude to the University of Sarajevo for the great support to their work and stressed the importance that this exhibition had for students of the Academy of Fine Arts.

The exhibition featured 22 works by 14 authors - the excellent, student representatives of their classes. The works are from the areas of:  painting, sculpture, graphic design and product design.

Their works on this exhibition  presented: Adna Bakija, Gačanin Alma, Alma Muzurović, Bojan Stojčić, Ena Čabrić, Igor Zergol, Ilma Džafić, Jasmin Sprečo, Marko Gačnik, Melisa Musić, Mirza Kabaš, Mustafa Čohadžić, Sabina Talović and Vedran Kljuca. All of them received certificates of participation in a joint exhibition of artwork of the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo.

The exhibition Opening Program was completed by the students two other Academies - Academy of Music and the Academy of Performing Arts which also received certificates for participation in the exhibition opening ceremony.

Raisa Bužimkić,  a fourth year student at the Music Academy,  Department for Accordion in the class of Doz. Belma Šarančić, who performed by Basso Ostinato by Victor Vlasov, received a certificate awarded by Doz. Mirjana Papić-Hrkaš, Vice-Dean for Concert Activities and Public Relations at the Music Academy.

Vice-Rector Vobornik handed certificates to students of the forth year at the Academy of Performing Arts in the class of Prof. Senad Bašić:  Ivana Vojinović, Ajla Hamzić,Staša Dukić, Ena Kurtalić, Admir Šehović and Boris Kargotić who performed the "Song of Songs," a fragment of the Oration exam Prof. Emina Muftić.

A part of the works is for sale. The exhibition will be opened for visits until 31/12/2011, from 9:00 to 16:00 hrs.
