Discussions on the Bosnian Pyramids Research Project
Dr Semir Osmanagic and Prof. Dr Mujo Demirovic, Vice-Rector of the University of Bihac and former Federal Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport visited UNSA Rectorate, where they had conversations with Prof. Dr Faruk Caklovica, Rector about the Bosnian Pyramids Research project activities.
During a very interested and cordial conversation, Dr Osmanagic stated that Bosnian Pyramids Research Project is a multidisciplinary scientific project including the engagement of variety of scientist from a number of fields. He also said that in past seven years approximately 300 000 hours of work had been spent on archaeological activities, samples analysis, testing and radio-carbon dating, and that conclusion was reached stating that there was in Visoko a complex of pyramids and interconnecting tunnels approximately 12000 years old. Dr Osmanagic also said that a large number of volunteers from the whole world had participated in excavation activities.
Prof. Dr Mujo Demirovic expressed his regret for not being able to support this project during his term in the office as Minister. He also said that Bosnian Pyramids Research Project enriched the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina proving it was older than history books were saying. Prof. Dr Demirovic expressed his belief as scientist that it was about significant B-H and global project.
Rector Caklovica stated his support for Dr Osmanagic's work and pointed out the University of Sarajevo's support to the Project through the lab test. Rector Caklovica also said that support of the University of Sarajevo and other B-H Universities', as well as other volunteers would participate in this year's archeological excavations. He also noted that this project had important value from the point of archeological, historic and of touristic aspect for B&H.
