“The Commemoration of the 18th Anniversary of the Genocide against Srebrenica Bosniaks“

On Sunday, 7 July 2013, the University of Sarajevo and UNSA Students’ Parliament organized the sixth visit of teachers, associates and students to Srebrenica.

Participants in visit visited the Potocari - Srebrenica Memorial Complex and laid flowers at the memorial, and by a minute of silence and Fatiha reciting honored all Bosniaks, victims of genocide committed in July 1995. Mr. Nermin Alivukovic, Chief of Srebrenica Mayor Staff addressed the audience in the Potocari Memorial Complex.

After the historic lesson, University representatives visited the Memorial Room, which is located in a former car battery factory and attended the screening of the documentary film about the suffering of Srebrenica Bosniaks in 1995, and visited the town of Srebrenica. The University of Sarajevo representatives had a meeting with Mr. Camil Durakovic, Mayor of Srebrenica and Hamdija Fejzic, Vice President of the Srebrenica Municipality Assembly.
