“Benchmarking - Theoretical Basics and Approach“ Training sessions Held

The first training session under the name of “Benchmarking - theoretical  basics and approach” was held in the UNSA Rectorate’s premises on Tuesday 22 April 2014. This training was organized within the Tempus project - Benchmarking as a tool for improvement of higher education performance - BIHTEK that aims to introduce benchmarking practices at eight public universities in BiH, in order to strengthen the quality management system and establish a process of continuous improvement of B&H higher education.

Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolic spoke about the benchmarking process within the training sessions, and presented the objectives, results, stages and key success factors. About the benchmarking process in BiH universities spoke Doz. Dr. Dusanka Boskovic used this occasion to present the handbook. After working in groups, the working groups’ rollouts and agreed actions for the next workout were presented.
In order to strengthen the internal capacities of the University of Sarajevo, two training sessions which aim to create a “benchmarking community” at the University have been planned. The “benchmarking community” would be composed of representatives of the University member institutions responsible for quality management who are interested to learn more about benchmarking practices and to become a part of the B&H Benchmarking pilot project. Participants of both training (of 22 April 2014 and 15 May 2014) will be given the certificates of participation and will be offered to participate in the University of Sarajevo benchmarking team.
