In compliance with the Framework Law on Higher Education in B-H provision and as a part of the accreditation performing process, the Commission for Quality Assessment, Revision and Giving Recommendations on University of Sarajevo Accrediting was at the University of Sarajevo on 1 and 2 July 2014. The Commission had been appointed by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance in B-H and had five members: two of them represented the academic community, one business, one member was an international expert and one student: Prof. Dr. Nusreta Djonlagic, Chairman, Prof. Dr. Isak Karabegovic, M.Sc. Edin Jahic, Prof. Dr. Andre Govaert and Lejla Hairlahovic.
With the aim of acquiring insight into situation and information gathering needed for the successful accreditation, the meetings were organized with various internal and external groups among which were: UNSA academic community members, students, business representatives, representatives of various advisory and expert bodies. 162 full and associated professors, 4 assistant professors, 24 senior and junior assistants, 55 students, 9 business representatives and 42 administrative representatives from the University of Sarajevo participated in the meetings with the Commission. The aim of programs that occupied two-day Commission’s activities was to check the meeting of all nine assigned standards for accrediting institutions of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
