University Visit to Srebrenica

For the seventh consecutive year, the University of Sarajevo and UNSA Students’ Parliament organized the visit to the Srebrenica Memorial Complex in Potocari on Friday, 11 July 2014.

The visit started with the departure from the University of Sarajevo Campus. Upon arrival in Potocari, more than 350 University of Sarajevo teachers, assistants and students visited the Srebrenica Memorial Complex in Potocari and attended the marking of the 19th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the Srebrenica “UN Safe Heaven“ and burial of identified victims.

“The memorial University visits to Srebrenica, which has been organized for several years in a row, is just one of many activities that the University of Sarajevo organizes in cooperation with the Students’ Parliament, seeking to preserve the memory of all the suffering they had been endured by our University, our city and our state. In the implementation of numerous activities, young people are involved, who wish to keep from falling into oblivion the most important thing - multinational and multicultural spirit of BH” stated University of Sarajevo Students’ Parliament.
