Mrs. Charlotte Hermelink, Goethe-Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Cultural Programs Department director, and Mrs. Ajla Eljsani-Arnautlija, Cultural Programs coordinator visited the UNSA Rectorate on Tuesday 2 September 2014. UNSA Rector Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, Dr.h.c. and Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic and Prof. Dr. Faruk Mekic with Prof. Dr. Sulejman Bosto from UNSA Faculty of Philosophy received the guests.
The successful cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Goethe-Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina was emphasized during the meeting. The cooperation activities took place at the UNSA Faculties of Political Sciences and Philosophy in November 2013 and April 2014 through organizing lectures and discussions with a philosopher and political scientist Thomas Meyer and philosopher Otfried Höffe.
The means of promoting cooperation were also discussed at the meeting. In view of this and in addition to possible joint operations on projects, participants agreed to a two-day visit of Ulrich Beck, Professor, who stands for one of the most influential contemporary sociologists whose field of specialty examines the structure, dynamics and contradictions of modern societies in the age of globalization. Within Professor Beck’s visiting the University of Sarajevo scheduled for November 2014, lectures and discussions in the UNSA Rectorate’s Grand Hall and at the Faculty of Political Sciences will be organized.
