“Youth Entrepreneurship in BiH – the Folly or Wisdom” Business Forum Held

The third Youth Business Forum under the name “Youth Entrepreneurship in BiH – the Folly or Wisdom” was held in Banja Luka on 18 and 19 September 2014. 12 student teams or 12 best student business ideas were awarded at the Youth Business Forum. At the forum that lasted for two days, student teams had an opportunity to present their business plans in front of numerous guests from the public and private sectors, and fellow students.

The Youth Business Forum was organized within the “Student Entrepreneurship“ project that is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the GEA Center for Research and Studies in partnership with the Universities of Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar.

In its three years, this project registered 30 businesses, received 1725 applications for participating in the program, registered 1000 business ideas, held 12 training modules. Also in the program, 20 lecturers participated, while the prize money for the best student ideas amounted 120000 US dollars.
