The Welcome Day organized for Foreign Students, Teachers and Staff
24 foreign students, teachers and staff will come at the University of Sarajevo at the beginning of the 2014/2015 academic year. It is about students, teachers assistants who are the part of various mobility programs funded by the European Commission, such as Erasmus Mundus, CEEPUS, MEVLANA, including the exchange based on agreements on bilateral cooperation between our and partner universities in the world. They will stay in our country from one semester (6 months) to one academic year (10 months).
Following the practice from partner EU universities and beyond, the UNSA Department for International Cooperation organizes for the sixth time the orientation program aiming to bring closer to foreign students, teachers and personnel our University, its history, culture and tradition. The orientation program also intends to introduce them the history, tradition and culture our city and country - to provide them with the necessary academic and practical information. As part of the orientation program, foreign students will get to know the BH students who also participated in exchange programs, have the opportunity to learn the Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language, as well as to visit popular tourist destinations in our country.
The Welcome Day for foreign students, teachers and assistants was organized on Monday 22 September 2014. The event was attended by foreign students, teachers and assistants arriving from the University of Ghent, University of Ljubljana, University of Zagreb, University of Granada, University of Graz, University of Bologna, Masaryk University, the University of L'Aquila and Trakya University, as well as students, teachers and assistants from the University of Sarajevo who had previously participated in exchange programs.
UNSA Vice-Rector International Relations, Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic and officers at the UNSA Department for International Relations wished the welcome to students, teachers and assistants. Within the Welcome Day, foreign students, teachers and assistants will be introduced with lecturers from “Linguistics” Association for Language and Culture who will teach them Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language, as well as representatives of the Erasmus Student Network Association who will give them all necessary academic information in order to facilitate their stay and studies at University of Sarajevo’s Faculties and Academies.
