The University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Japanese Foundation, will also organize in the academic 2014/2015 year the Japanese language course for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, taught by native Japanese speaker.
On this occasion at the UNSA Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, on Thursday 25 September 2014, Orientation Day for registered candidates was held. This event was attended by H.E. Mr. Hideo Yamazaki, Japanese Ambassador to B&H and Prof. Dr. ugo Vlaisavljevic, UNSA Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Selma Filipovic, Vice-Dean for Human Resources and Development at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Sarajevo, Ms. Kakuko Kotaka, cultural attaché of the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ms. Yukari Hill, a Japanese language lecturer.
The Japanese language course will include two training levels, which will last for two semesters: basic - for new students and middle level - for students who have completed the basic level in previous academic. During the base part, participants will be taught the basic skills of the Japanese language in speaking, listening, writing and reading. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to read and write hiragana and katakana characters, as well as 161 kanji characters. They will be fluent in Japanese language with the ability to participate in everyday conversations and use basic Japanese sentence structure and expressions.
In June 2015 - after completing the course, participants will receive certificates.
