As part of regular visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the nonresident Ambassador of India in BiH, H. E. Malay Mishra visited the University of Sarajevo, where he had a meeting with the UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, Dr. h. c.
During the meeting the establishing of academic cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and Indian universities were discussed, including the possibility of establishing the Centre of IT Excellence at the University of Sarajevo.
At the meeting, special attention was given to cultural cooperation and discussion on a three-day festival scheduled for December this year and dedicated to India and its culture. As a part of the festival, screenings of documentaries about India would be organized and classical Indian dances presented. In addition, Ambassador Mishra would deliver at the UNSA Rectorate an open lecture at which he would present his country and its development over the centuries, the presence and influence of different religions on the Indian development, the economic situation, education and culture of this country as well.
