UNSA in Web of Science
131 article, authored and coauthored by the UNSA researchers, either alone or in collaboration was indexed within the Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index during 2014.
The analyzed data for the research fields indicate that the largest number of indexed papers is from the fields of physics (9), chemistry (9), experimental medicine (8), mathematics (8). Papers indexed in these areas are in the range 6.1-6.9% of all papers indexed for 2014. Those areas are followed by ecology and engineering with 7 papers (5.3%), and botany, internal medicine and biochemistry to molecular biology with 6 papers (4.58%). From the total number of papers, 1.5% is from the field of Humanities and 1.5% from social sciences.
In the period 1970-2014, within all three index core collection of the Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, 2115 papers were indexed. This number can be considered the smallest possible number of published papers, as in the address field in the WoS from, there are cases where authors have not entered the university, but rather the name of the respective Faculty and its corresponding address.
When it comes to the quoted papers of the UNSA faculty members, from that number of papers, 2115 papers were cited 12,139 times (i.e. 10 345 times without self-citations). These 12,139 citations appear in 9177 papers. One can see here the powerful leap in citation for the period from 2012 to 2014.
