THE UNIVERSITY FRANCOPHONE AGENCY OFFERS 

The University of Sarajevo gained the membership in the global organization Agency of la Francophonie (AUF) in June 2014, thanks to the special efforts invested by the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy’s Department of Romance Languages. During a recent visit to the University of Sarajevo, the possibilities that this organization offers were presented.

One of the main objectives of the AUF is to promote the French as a language of science and the scientific and research cooperation between French-speaking universities and individuals.
In this regard, the Agency provides the support to researchers by financing the following activities:

•    Participation in international scientific conferences, the mobility of professors, researchers, PhD students and postdoctoral candidates, thus validating and strengthening the science conducted in French. It is necessary to ask for financing at least six weeks before the start of the scientific meeting. •    Organization of French-speaking or multilingual conferences in Central and Eastern Europe, publication of Books of Proceedings in. It is necessary to candidate the project at least three months before the start of the scientific meeting. •    The Government of Romania’s scholarship program “Eugene Ionesco” for doctoral and post-doctoral studies. This project favors the worldwide cooperation between various francophone universities, and offers to PhD students and researchers a wide range of education research through scientific activities. This provides contribution to the establishing a network of young researchers, laboratories and their development team.
