Signed Memorandum of Cooperation
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the UNSA Academy of Fine Arts and Sparkasse Bank BiH was held at the University of Sarajevo Rectorate on Monday 20 April 2015.
This Cooperation Memorandum, signed by Prof. Dr. Amela Hadzimejlic-Keco, Academy Dean and M.Sc. Amir Softic, Sparkasse Bank BiH Executive Director, has been concluded with the aim of supporting and empowering the art in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc attended the official signing ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Amela Hadzimejlic-Keco, Academy of Fine Arts Dean expressed her satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum. “In these hard times for the entire society, especially for fine arts and culture in general, the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo is investing enormous efforts to achieve its objectives” said Prof. Dr. Amela Hadzimejlic-Keco.
M.Sc. Amir Softic, Sparkasse Bank BiH Executive Director stressed that the Sparkasse Bank takes with special care the social responsibility – “In order to ensure the long-term progress and development of a community, we all need to invest in science, culture and education. The only proper investment is the investment in knowledge, because it can provide long-term economic development.”
Having reminded that art and culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina are in difficult situation, UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc, said that it is extremely important to establish a new form of collaboration for supporting the development of fine art in Bosnia and Herzegovina. “The realization of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the UNSA Academy of Fine Arts and Sparkasse Bank BiH, in addition to common interests, gives a contribution to the strengthening the University of Sarajevo’s capacity. We would like to thank the Sparkasse Bank’s management for recognizing the Academy of Fine Arts as a respectable partner.“ said Rector Avdispahic.
