Book “From Dayton to Brussels" by Prof. Dr. Sefkija Cekic Promoted
A book by Prof. Dr. Sefkija Cekic “From Dayton to Brussels”, published as the University of Sarajevo edition, was promoted at the UNSA Faculty of Transportation and Communications, on Wednesday 27 May 2015. In the presence of numerous guests, the book was discussed by UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc, reviewer, Prof. Dr. Sacir Filandra, Ambassador Osman Topcagic and Prof. Dr. Slavo Kukic.
This scientific monograph with 38 texts structured in four chapters at 225 pages is illustrated with photographs, constructed road corridors maps and planned communications networks. Its content makes actual geopolitical position of Bosnia and Herzegovina, destruction of transport and communications systems; affirms the process of reconstruction and development; affirms the European integration and suggests a vision and strategy for future development.
“Today, more than a few months ago, the chances of Bosnia and Herzegovina to join the European Union are completely certain, yet from the point of time possible even faster” said Dr. Kukic.
Ambassador Osman Topcagic spoke about the road to conquer so B&H could become an EU member country.
“Prof. Dr. Sefkija Cekic encourages us with his scientific and the writer's involvement in reflection and analysis of the most recent issues of communication within B&H and abroad. As a prominent scholar, patriot and educator, even without a compass, he knows where to go and what are Bosnia and Herzegovina’s aspirations,” said Prof. Dr. Filandra.
