Japanese Language Course Certificates Awarded

 

The certificate awarding ceremony for the second generation of Japanese language course students took place organized in the UNSA Rectorate on 23 June 2015. The event’s organization was supported the Japanese Embassy in B&H and the Japan Foundation.

Welcome addresses by UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc and H.E.  Kazuya Ogawa, Japanese Ambassador to B&H delivered the welcome address marking the ceremony opened.

UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Avdispahic stressed the great role and importance that Japan has in the world, and expressed his hope that the University would achieve wider forms of cooperation with the institutions from this country. As the course reached its third year of implementation, Rector Avdispahic pointed out that this form of learning the Japanese language should gradually evolve into an academic program at the University of Sarajevo.

H.E.  Ambassador Ogawa said that students - those who attended Japanese language course had a significant role in creating the community of Japanese language and culture researchers, in promoting and developing Japanese studies in the country, the intellectual exchange between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. “The Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina grows strong hope that this project will strengthen bilateral relations and mutual respect between our peoples and countries,” said Ambassador Ogawa.

H.E. Kazuya Ogawa, Japanese Ambassador to B&H, and Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc, UNSA Rector handed the certificated. Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic, UNSA Vice-Rector Mrs. Kakuko Kotako, Embassy of Japan to B&H Cultural Attaché and Mrs. Yukari Hill, Japanese language lecturer attended the event.

Course attendants who received certificates are Azra Balta, Erol Terovic, Vladan Bozovic, Haris Hasic, Aida Delic, Biljana Stanisic, Arnela Mujagic, Uros Radovic, Nesibe Nur Küçükaytekin, Svetlana Vasiljevic, Anja Mastilovic, Mansur Corbo, Quiet Becirovic, Mahir Pasalic, Nikola Krnjeta, Ajla Sabic, Natsumi Libic, Azra Tabakovic, Mirza Dupovac, Emina Hajro, Emma Konakovic, Anela Arifovic, Andrea Cerimagic, Armin Dzafo, Kevser Kadric, Sena Klapuh, Alexander Leontijevic, Nikola Matašin Ines Rovcanin, Sanda Šljivo and Jelena Tesic.

The Japanese Embassy and the University of Sarajevo launched this course with the aim of improving bilateral relations, having placed special emphasis on the cultural and educational aspects. In addition to contributing to the BH educational system, this program makes the way for artistic, cultural and intellectual exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Japan.
