ERMA Discussions
Mrs. Rita Gonella, Republic of Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expert, Prof. Dr. Francesco Privitera, University of Bologna and Italian Development Cooperation representatives Mr. Marco Zecchinato and Mrs. Elvira Pirija visited the University of Sarajevo on Thursday 2 July 2015.
They were received by UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc. During the meeting the cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna was discussed with paying special attention to the long-standing support of the Republic of Italy for “European Regional Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democracy in South East Europe” (ERMA) program. The ERMA program began in 2000 when several universities from the Southeast Europe and the European Union jointly combined efforts in its establishing. The program is implemented by the University of Sarajevo and University of Bologna. The program is designed for students who will combine practical experience in the field of human rights with the continuation of studies. Each year, 30 students from Southeast Europe, European Union, Russia and the Caucasus are enrolled in the program.
After completing the studies, Rectors of the University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna co-sign the diploma.
