TWELFTH INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY PROFESSORS SYMPOSIUM IN ROME
From 24 to 27 June 2015, the Pontifical University of Lateran in Rome hosted the regular annual academic symposium - Una cultura per un nuovo umanesimo (A Culture for New Humanism) in which rectors and professor from European universities participated.
The symposium was opened by an introductory speech delivered by Cardinal Agostino Vallani, Vicar General of Rome and Dr. Stefania Giannini, Italian minister for education and research. Each of six sessions and eighteen interdisciplinary groups had twelve lecturers from different scientific fields. The scientific fields ranged from theology, philosophy, history, geography, medicine and to law, economics, technology and the arts, where were elaborated approaches and methods, which would nourish mutual inclusiveness and supplementation in the science and art in their diversity.
University of Sarajevo representatives at this important international conference were Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic, Vice-Rector, Dr. Dubravko Turalija and M.Sc. Vikica Vujica from the Faculty of Catholic Theology, and Mrs. Ljiljana Sulentic, representative of the UNSA International Relations office.
As part of their visit to Rome, UNSA representatives attended the international conference “Bridging the Distances and International Challenges” which was held in the Tor Vergata University of Rome International Center.
