EESTEC LC Sarajevo: Applications for “Hackathon - Together we achieve more”

You are socially active, you want to solve problems in your community, you know how to program, design or to deliver a good presentation of your product to interested parties? Do you want to meet the leading figures in the growing IT sector in BiH, your potential employers? Do you want to have a good time, meet new friends, gain new knowledge and win prizes? If the answer is yes, then “Hackathon - Together we achieve more” is the right opportunity for you!
 
The US Embassy in Sarajevo, EESTEC LC Sarajevo Association and the UNSA Faculty of Electrical Engineering organize Hackathon for young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina from 6 to 8 November 2015.
Twelve multi-disciplinary teams composed of five members, will work on the development of socially useful web and mobile applications, attend various lectures on software development, socially engaged business and ways of developing applications during those three days.
 
This project brings together future civil society leaders, programmers, graphic designers and project managers craving for challenge, who will over the three days of intensive work, build the application usable to end users.
 
In addition to educational and competition part, this event aims to bring together ambitious and young people in a stimulating environment, give them an opportunity to meet successful entrepreneurs, work together and create positive change for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the IT market.
 
Not permanently employed young people who live in Bosnia and Herzegovina of age between 18 24 can apply at Hackathon. Applications are individual via the following link: www.zpvhackathon.eestec-sa.ba. Applications are open until 20 October 2015. The selected participants will be notified no later than 25 October 2015. For all participants who are not from Sarajevo, the organizers will provide accommodation and paid travel expenses, meals and symbolic memorabilia.
