The UNSA International Relations Office organized the Sixth Scholarships Fair. The Fair was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo on 15 October 2015. Welcome addresses were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic, UNSA Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Izet Bijelonja, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Dean, H. E. Claire Bodonyi, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mr. Samir Arnautovic, Student Vice-Rector. It was pointed out that the Scholarships Fair is unique event of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina whose goal is to bring together all institutions that award and/or administer scholarships or assigned other types of financial support for studying in BiH and abroad. The ultimate goal of organizing this event is coordinated action actors in the area of higher education with the goal of contributing to the creation of a better society.
25 institutions participated at the Sixth Scholarship Fair. Those institutions presented different forms of financial support (scholarships, one-time financial support, loans, etc) for studying in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad (governmental and non-governmental organizations, diplomatic missions, Civic Initiatives centers, local communities, foreign institutions, cultural centers, etc.).
The following exhibitors participated at the Sixth Scholarships Fair: AIESEC, French Embassy, Japanese Embassy, Hungarian Embassy, Czech Embassy, the US Embassy, American Councils for International Education, BH Telecom, British Council, Erasmus+ national office, Erasmus Student Network, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Humanity in Action, Alpbach Initiative Group in Sarajevo, International University of Sarajevo, Munja inkubator, Ministry of Civil Affairs (CEEPUS), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), OeAD, Representation of German Business in BiH, ProCredit Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Spajalica Association, Sarajevo School of Science and Technology and the University of Sarajevo (Erasmus Mundus and the Erasmus+).
The UNSA IRO presented its activities in the area of international cooperation with particular emphasis on the Erasmus Mundus and its associated projects and Erasmus+ that enables the exchange of students and faculty members from the University of Sarajevo and partner universities from European Union (more on www.erasmus-unsa.ba).
