The high delegation of the Province of Gansu, PR China, consisting of Messrs. Zhang Shizen, Chinese People's Political Conference (CPPCC) Vice President, the Committee of Gansu; Huang Zhouhui, Chairman of the CPPCC Gansu Committee for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Subcommittee; Ren Fukang, Gansu Province Department of Trade Deputy Director General; Mr. Lin Yonghong, Gansu Province Department of Trade Department of Foreign Direct Investment Director, He Weibiao, the Chinese People's Political Conference (CPPCC), Gansu Province Committee, Lintao County, Zhao Liangwen, Associate of the CPPCC Subcommittee on Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, Gansu Committee visited the University of Sarajevo from 17 to 19 July 2016.
The occasion for visit was the successful cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the Northwest Pedagogical University in Gansu Province in regards with the establishing and developing of the Confucius Institute at the University of Sarajevo. Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Muharem Avdispahic, HonDSc, Vice-Rectors, Prof. Dr. Ugo Vlaisavljevic, Prof. Dr. Faruk Mekic and Prof. Dr. Dzenan Djonlagic received the Gansu Province delegation. During the later course of the visit, the Gansu delegation had a meeting with the Sarajevo Canton officials during which they discusses the possibilities of establishing further cooperation in fields of tourism, wood and metal processing industries and IT sector.
