The UNSA  Music Academy and the Musicological Society of FBiH from 20 to 22 October 2016, within jubilee 10th International Symposium “Music in Society” will host over 50 renowned names from the world of musical science. The presenters from 13 countries will discuss several major symposium topics.

The symposium starts on Thursday, 20/10/2016 at 18:00. The renowned German musicologist Dr. Helmut Loos (Institute of Musicology at the University of Leipzig) delivers opening lecture on the topic World Music or Regionalization - The Basic Question of Music Historiography.
Artistic component of the opening ceremony will be completed by the ensemble Etnoakademik’s concert called the Evening of Sevdalinka, whose program consists of selected sevdalinkas, Sephardic songs and lullabies guaranteed to satisfy the appetites of music connoisseurs. The concert will be held in the Music Academy Concert Hall in Sarajevo on Thursday, 20.10. 2016 at 19:30.
