Cooperation Agreements Signed between the University of Sarajevo
and four Public Kosovo Universities
The University of Sarajevo delegation - Prof. Dr. Rifat Skrijelj, Rector, Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolic, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Aida Hodzic, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Nedzad Korajlic, Faculty of Criminalistics,
Criminology and Security Studies Dean visited Kosovo.
This three day visit was organized with the aim of promoting the academic, educational and cultural cooperation and the establishment of institutional cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and four public Universities in Kosovo that have organized study programs in Bosnian: “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, “Hasan Prishtina” in Prishtina, “Haxhi Zeka” in Pec and “Kadri Zeka” in Gjilane.
The Cooperation Agreements signed between the University of Sarajevo and public Universities in Kosovo anticipate establishing the cooperation through networking and exchange of students and faculty members, joint participation and applying for educational, research and artistic activities funding, joint activities in the areas of education, training and research, joint organization of conferences, symposia, conferences and seminars, exchange of professional literature, textbooks and other university publications, and organizing joint study programs.
During the Kosovo stay, the UNSA delegation had a meeting with Mr. Arsim Bajrami, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, where they talked about the beginning of cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and four public Universities in Kosovo.
Also during the stay, UNSA delegation met with Bosniak representatives in the Kosovo government, the Mayor of Pec, and the management of AAB University in Pristina, with which the University of Sarajevo has been cooperating since 2005.
