National Library Awareness Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina
In implementing project activities from the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) - "Library Network Support Services (LNSS): Modernising libraries in Western Balkan countries through staff development and reforming library services”, at the University of Sarajevo on Wednesday, 12 April 2017, a meeting with a prospective partner institutions that will enable their participation at a high level in marking the Library Awareness National Day.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Maida Cohodar Husic, UNSA Vice-Rector for Quality addressed attendees and emphasized her satisfaction that the University of Sarajevo is a partner in a project promoting the importance of libraries. “The common interest and motive is to promote the book, the greatest friends of every human being throughout life,” said Vice Rector Cohodar.
Doz. Dr. Lejla Hajdarpasic, ERASMUS+ project for the University of Sarajevo coordinator stressed that this project provides an opportunity to improve the level of competence of information and library professionals.
M.Sc. Nadina Grebovic-Lendo, LAND president and head of the Library at the UNSA Faculty of Philosophy presented the Library Awareness National Day and stressed the importance of engaging partner institutions and gave instructions on the possibilities of celebrating this day on partner institutions.
The central event “Walk for the Library” will be held in Vilsonovo setaliste, for whose organization the support of Mr. Nedzad Koldzo, Mayor of Novo Sarajevo was obtained.
