Meeting between UNSA Rector and President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia
A meeting between UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Skrijelj and judge Carmelo Agius, president of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) took place on Monday, June 19, 2017.
The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Ana Cristina Rodriguez Pineda, Head of the ICTY President's Cabinet, Mrs. Amanda Molesworth, Deputy Head of the ICTY President's Cabinet, Mr. Almir Alic, Representative of the ICTY Secretariat in BiH, and UNSA Vice-Rectors: Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikolic, Prof. Dr. Zeljko Sain and Prof. Dr. Aida Hodzic, Mr. Mirza Ibrahimovic, Student Vice-Rector and Dr. Sci Suvad Konakovic, UNSA Secretary General.
The meeting was organized in the framework of the official visit of the President of the ICTY, Mr. Carmelo Agius to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the visit to all the countries of the region before the official closure of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
The meeting discussed the legacy of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, as well as the possibility of establishing cooperation between the two institutions, which would be realized through the organization of lectures and seminars, as well as a symposium marking the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
