The “Science and Its Evaluation” discussion was held at the University of Sarajevo Rectorate on Wednesday, 5 July 2017. The introductory speaker was a distinguished Academician Prof. Dr. Kemal Hanjalic, University of Sarajevo and Delft University in the Netherlands professor emeritus.
The attendees were greeted by Prof. Dr. Izet Radjo, UNSA Vice-Rector for Research who presented the activities of the University of Sarajevo's management in the area research, as well as the determination of the University and all of its bodies on the way to further development and advancement of science and research at the University of Sarajevo.
In his presentation, Academician Hanjalic spoke about the state of science in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the trends in science and its evaluation in the world, both in developed and developing countries. He also gave recommendations for the development of science and scientific research work in Bosnia and Herzegovina and at the University of Sarajevo.
Following the Academician Hanjalic’s introductory lecture, an exchange of views on this important subject took place, in which members of the UNSA Council for Science and Arts, University management, Vice-Deans and teachers and associates of the University of Sarajevo participated.
