EUROPEAN REGIONAL MASTER’S PROGRAMME IN DEMOCRACY
AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN SOUTH EAST EUROPE
STRUCTURE
ERMA is a one year, full time, interdisciplinary programme, which combines studies, with internship, field research and international mobility. ERMA is co-financed since 2000/01 by the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy. The master is implemented in Sarajevo and Bologna, thus students receive diplomas from both universities. The programme awards 60 ECTS. ERMA is part of the EU’s Global Campus of Human Rights, a unique network of more than one hundred participating universities around the world, seeking to advance human rights and democracy through regional and global cooperation for education and research.
SELECTION
36 students will be selected, in the second half of September 2017, from the following target groups:
Target group I (25 places): Citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and citizens of Kosovo, holders of passports of countries recognized by BiH;
Target group II (5 places): Citizens of the EU countries, Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Russian Federation;
Target group III (6 places): Citizens of other countries
SCHOLARSHIPS
ERMA enjoys a comprehensive scholarship scheme, made possible by EU and the Italian government offering to 30 students from TGI and TGII study grants covering regular living costs (November to July). Also, costs of their lodging and dinning are covered during the thesis-writing period in Italy. Reimbursements (travel, health insurance, etc.) are also secured for students of these target groups. Students coming from other countries have the status of self-funding students and are therefore encouraged to apply for other sources of funding.
