ERMA Cooperation Continued |
The Embassy of Italy and UNSA are continuing their Cooperation on the ERMA Program
On 08 September 2017, Italian Ambassador to BiH, H.E. Nicola Minasi and University of Sarajevo Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Skrijelj signed in Sarajevo a letter confirming the continuing of cooperation on the ERMA program. The program will be financed in the next academic years through the contribution of the Italian Agency for Co-operation and Development.
Ambassador Minasi is proud on the Embassy’s support for this master studies program in the field of democracy and human rights. His Excellency said that this was a special program established by the EU in 2002 with regional character, covering scholarships for all students from the Balkans and Caucasus. A part of the program takes place in Sarajevo and a part in Bologna.
UNSA Rector, Prof. Dr. Rifat Skrijelj believes that this is one of the better international programs at the University of Sarajevo, and hopes that it will remain ready for future generations.
Today's meeting also served for the announcement of the summer school to take place in east Sarajevo from 18-24 September under the auspices of the Embassy of Italy in BiH and gathering the BH and Italian students. The topic of this school is “Reconsidering the Culture of Tolerance: Europe, Borders, Migration” and it will be realized in cooperation with the Universities of Milan Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.
