Promotion of the „Book of Proceedings of the International Round Table on the Implementation of the Bologna Process in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina“
On Friday 4 February, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science a promotion of the Book of Proceedings of the International Round Table on the Implementation of the Bologna Process in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina took place.
On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Slavenka Vobornik, Vice-Rector for teaching welcomed the participants, and mentioned in her address: "We are all aware of importance of education, especially higher, for overall development and wealth of every country and society in general. Therefore, the University of Sarajevo has taken challenges of reforming the higher education system, which is known as the Bologna process, with the aim of internationalizing and harmonizing our system of higher education in accordance with the developed world's standards and the integration of our University into the globally recognized community of universities, the EHEA respectively".
Mr. Predrag Mitrović, Assistant to Federal Minister of Education and Science, said during his address that significance of this publication is in its providing of an overview of the current situation in higher education with pointing out all difficulties in the implementation of the Bologna process in the Federation of BiH.
The Book of Proceedings also includes a comparative analysis of BH and European Higher Education Area, particularly regarding countries where the implementation of the Bologna process is producing the most important results and giving guidelines for faster and more efficient implementation of the Bologna process on the territory of FBiH.
Promoters of the Book of Proceedings Of The International Round Table On The Implementation Of The Bologna Process In The Federation Of Bosnia And Herzegovina were: Prof. Dr. Samir Arnautović, Vice-Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr Nihad Fejzić, Director of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH, Mr. Boris Ćurković, Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH, and Mr. Jan Zlatan Kulenović, Executive Director of the BiH Youth Information Agency.
The publication, issued by the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, includes works of ten authors and the most important discussions from three international round tables on implementation of the Bologna Process in the Federation of BiH, which were organized by the Ministry in 2010.
Dr Ruth Davis, Prof. Dr Terence Clifford Amos, Prof. Dr Nijaz Fejzić, Prof. Dr Samir Arnautović, Prof. Dr Srebren Dizdar, Prof. Dr Mirsad Đonlagić, Boris Ćurković, Bartley Rock, Jan Zlatan Kulenović and Amir Šelo are authors of papers included within the Book of Proceedings.
