Huawei Technologies" Company Representatives Paid a Visit
On Tuesday, 15 February, Mr. Shao Guoqing, Manager of the "Huawei Technologies B&H" Company, and Ms. Ivana Janković, legal consultant of the IKRP Rokas & Partners Firm, visited University of Sarajevo’s Rectorate. Prof. Dr Faruk Čaklovica, Rector of the University of Sarajevo and Mr. Zoran Selesković, Secretary General, received distinguished guests.
The "Huawei Technologies" Company, China, has signed an Agreement on Donation with the University of Sarajevo on making financial donations to the "Suada Dilberović" Fund. The donated sum is 50,000.00 $, while the payments will be made during the four academic years starting from 2010 till 2014, by making payment of 12,500.00 $ per year.
At the meeting, the subject of discussion was organizing of the “Suada Dilberović" Fund formal scholarships awarding event, whose realization is planned for 25 February 2010, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. Rector Čaklovica expressed his gratitude to Manager Shao Guoqing, for the support provided by the "Huawei Technologies" Company, thus helping to secure funds for granting scholarships to a larger number of students.
"I would sincerely like to thank you for recognizing the importance of the "Suada Dilberović" Fund, out of which socially vulnerable and extraordinary talented students from all faculties and academies of the University of Sarajevo are financed, and also for joining this humane activity that facilitates the education for BH students" said Rector Čaklovica and expressed the wish that cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and the "Huawei Technologies" Company would be continued in the following period in other sectors.
